Charles Leclerc

Charles Leclerc was born in Monte Carlo on October 16 1997. He started driving karts when he was 5 years old.
In 2005 he took part in the regional Championship PACA (Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur) getting the title the same year, in 2006 and in 2008.
In 2009 he got the title “French Cadet Champion”, while one year later he competed in the KF3 category. In 2011 he won the CIK-FIA KF3 World Cup and the CIK-FIA Academy Trophy.
In 2012, driving an ART GP Kart, Charles became the WSK Champion, also becoming European and world Vice champion.
In 2013 he became European Vice champion and Vice champion under 18 with the team Fortec Motorsport.
In 2014 Charles became Vice champion in the ALPS Championship with the same team. He was the best rookie during his Formula 3 debut in 2015, racing with the team Van Amersfoort Racing, and got the fourth place in the rank.
In 2016 he became member of the FDA and development driver for Scuderia Ferrari and won the GP3 championship with Scuderia ART Grand Prix. In 2017 he will be racing in F2 for Prema.
