Charles Leclerc

Born in Monte Carlo on 16th October 1997, Charles Leclerc began racing karts at the age of five. In 2005, he took part in the PACA (Provence-Alpes-Cotes d’Azur) regional championship, winning it that year and in 2006 and 2008. In 2008 he won the French cadet championship before moving up to the KF3 category the following year.

In 2011, he won the CIK-FIA KF3 World Cup and the CIK-FIA Academy Trophy. In 2012, driving an ART GP kart, Charles was the WSK Champion, runner-up in Europe and the World. IN 2013, he was the European runner-up and Under 18 runner-up with the Fortec Motorsport team, and in 2014, again with Fortec, he finished second in the ALPS championship. He was the best rookie in, 2015, his debut Formula 3 season, racing for the Van Amersfoot Racing team, finishing fourth overall.

In 2016, he joined the Ferrari Driver Academy, winning the GP3 series with ART Grand Prix. In 2017, he won the Formula 2 title with the Prema team.
