Callum Ilott took his maiden GP3 Series win, with Giuliano Alesi third in the championship standings.
Callum Ilott has won the second GP3 race at France’s Paul Ricard circuit. The nineteen year old Englishman led all 15 laps in this his second GP3 round to take his first win which moves the Ferrari Driver Academy student up to fourth in the championship right behind Giuliano Alesi. In Race 1, the Frenchman started and finished third, having qualified just 93 thousands off the pole time. In the second race of the weekend, Giuliano took the chequered flag in sixth place, at the end of a very linear race that produced little overtaking.
