Scuderia’s Operations Manager.
Born in Bologna, Italy on 11th December 1962, Luca Baldisserri graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bologna in 1988. He joined Ferrari in 1989, his first work with the Scuderia concerning the design and development of the semi-automatic gearbox. In 1993, he was Gerhard Berger’s Data Engineer and the following year he was the Austrian’s Race Engineer. From 1996 to 1999, he was Eddie Irvine’s Race Engineer, and then he worked in the same role for Michael Schumacher, from 2000 to 2002.
In January 2003, Baldisserri was appointed Senior Track Engineer, overseeing the work on both race cars and in 2006, he became the Scuderia’s Operations Manager. He was Team Manager in 2008 and then, in 2009 came the move to head up the Ferrari Driver Academy.
Baldisserri lives in Fiorano and has one daughter. He spends his spare time, sailing and playing tennis.
